Bárbara Pérez Marina

Madrid, 1977. Bárbara Pérez studied at the Architectural Association in London and graduated in 2003.

Bárbara draws her forms from nature. To do so, she analyzes and studies geometry, repetition, proportion, regulating lines, growth rhythms, and other analytical data. She then translates this information and abstracts it into a new form—one that represents numbers through drawing and the use of craft techniques (some of them endangered).

This coexistence between a highly technological process and one that is, at the same time, purely artisanal calls upon every kind of capacity: body, intellect, technique, technology, number, and matter.
